Welcome to Purple Rain

Welcome to Purple Rain

We're not just importing wine. We're bottling a feeling.

Wine carries the marks of where it comes from: soil, weather, hands, time. It's imperfect by nature, and alive because of it. Purple Rain exists to bring those bottles to the table, wines made by small producers, chosen for moments of sharing rather than performance. Wine, for us, is a way of staying close to people, places, and the time spent between them.

Why We Started

There is a certain kind of producer that most people never hear about. Not because the wine isn't good, often it's extraordinary, but because they're too busy farming, fermenting, and figuring things out to worry about visibility.

We started Purple Rain to find those people. In the mountain villages of Yunnan, where winemakers are working at altitudes that most vineyards wouldn't dare. In coastal Hebei, where someone is quietly rescuing vines older than the modern wine industry. In a Burgenland garage, where two friends are converting overlooked land into something that makes you reconsider everything you thought you knew about Austrian red wine.

The geography changes. The spirit doesn't. We look for producers who are genuinely connected to where they work, who intervene as little as possible, and who make wine because they have something to say, not because someone told them what the market wants.

What to Expect

We will introduce you to the producers we work with, the bottles we think you should know, and occasionally the ones that surprised even us. We also make wine of our own, our exclusive collaborations Honey Pot and Zhaba were born from exactly the kinds of conversations this collection is built around.

No noise. No filler. Just honest wine from people who mean it.

Welcome. Pull up a chair.
