A First Night to Remember

First events are nerve-wracking things. You have an idea of what you want the evening to feel like, and then reality arrives and you discover whether the idea was right.

Ours was.

On November 21st, we took over 1 Lockhart Road in Wan Chai for our first proper gathering, in collaboration with OMEN, one of Hong Kong's most interesting new voices in luxury fashion and the art of the unbox. The pairing might not have been obvious on paper, but it made sense where it mattered. OMEN is built around the idea that the best things require a little patience, that friction is part of what makes a reward feel real. We have always felt the same way about the wines we carry.

We kept the wine list tight. Honey Pot with TinnYu, aromatic and lush enough to make people lean in and ask questions. FARMentation's Cha Pét-Nat, bright and electric, the kind of wine that makes natural wine feel effortless to someone discovering it for the first time. And two bottles from Gloryville, the Narrow Path and Hors Temple, adding depth and range to round out the evening.

Four wines. Four very different conversations. Exactly what we had hoped for.
