About Purple Rain

Purple Rain is a wine project shaped by context; how wine is made, where it comes from, and how it's actually shared. We work with small producers making expressive, low-intervention wines, chosen not for rarity or prestige but for how they feel at the table: with food, with friends, opened without ceremony.
  • We don't define ourselves by categories or dogma. We curate with intent. Every producer we work with farms thoughtfully, intervenes only when necessary, and makes wine that has something to say beyond the label. The result is a collection that favours clarity over noise, and genuine pleasure over performance.

  • Purple Rain was born from a love of the culture that forms around wine, the rooms, the conversations, the moments that happen when the right bottle is opened with the right people. Alongside the wines themselves, we host events and collaborate with chefs, galleries, and cultural spaces to create those moments deliberately. Informal by design. No instruction, no intimidation. Just good bottles and the space to enjoy them.

  • We believe the way people drink is changing. Less volume, more intention. Fewer rules, better choices. Our role is to find the wines that suit that shift; bottles that reward curiosity without demanding expertise, and that mean something beyond what they cost.

In short

Wine, for us, is not about spectacle. It's about connection — to place, to people, and to the moment it's opened.

And as always — drink thoughtfully, drink well.
